Wine Bags
Dress your wine collection or a host and 
hostess gift in an embroidered wine bag
with these quick and easy instructions.

Gather your supplies!  We began with 20″ x 14.5″ of fabric.  We embroidered the design using tear away stabilizer.  The kind of stabilizer that you use will depend on your fabric choice.  
Cut the fabric into a Y shape.  Extra fabric at the top allows it to pleat nicely when tying at the bottle’s neck.

Place the two right sides together. If you want to line the bag with a contrasting color, do so now.

Sew a seam on all three sides, leaving the top open.

Hem the top of the bag.

To attach the rope, mark a spot approximately 3″ down from the top edge of the bag.

Tack the rope to the bag.  
Insert bottle of wine, and tie .. Enjoy It.
